Books That Star Wars Battlefront Fans Should Read
I love when video games are made into books. It gives us another way to experience the worlds of our favorite games, sometimes through the eyes of our favorite characters. If you're like me, you couldn't get enough of Star Wars: Battlefront. I spent days playing the PS2 version of Battlefront 2. To this day it remains one of the best games I've ever played.
For this post, I want to showcase my favorite stormtrooper-based books within the Star Wars book series. To start out, I'll list the Battlefront books and then add more in the future.

- Star Wars Battlefront: Twilight Company
- Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad
- Death Troopers: Star Wars Legends
- Star Wars Republic Commando Series
Battlefront: Twilight Company
This story follows the 61st Mobile Infantry, known as 'Twilight Company'. It doesn't say what world the book takes place on, but clearly it will follow the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Empire. There's something about an unlikely ally and turning the tide of overwhelming opposition. Sounds like a military action story that takes place in a galaxy far, far away. Works for me. I just bought it in paperback along with the sequel.
Battlefront II: Inferno Squad
Instead of the rebel faction, this book follows the Empire's Inferno Squad. Now we're talking. This story takes place after the events in 'Rogue One'. Saw Gerrera's rebel faction called the 'Partisans' need taken down once and for all and Inferno Squad has got to dismantle them from the inside out. Star Wars action and espionage from the Empire's POV.
Death Troopers Brings Horror to the Star Wars Universe
The Republic Commando Novel Series: From Clone War Eruption to Vader's Fist
These books, like the others on this list, center around the galaxy's soldiers. In this case, it's Omega Squad. Delta Squad is also featured in the later installments.
The first book in the Republic Commando series is called 'Hard Contact' and it follows the Delta Squad clone troopers' mission to sabotage a bioweapons plant on the Separatist planet of Quiilura.
There are five Commando books in this Star Wars series and they all sound like pretty good reads. They cover missions throughout the Clone Wars, the execution of Palpatine's Order 66, and the formation of Vader's infamous 501st Legion.
Once I finish the Old Republic book I'm currently reading, these are next on my list. I'm sad they are changing the covers of these books because the old mass market covers are amazing. The new ones aren't horrible, I just don't think they're as cool.
